About the event
FWAG East and Thames Water invite you a FREE Technical Workshop on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and the use of living mulches.
We will be joined by two guest speakers:
Richard Binks, IPM specialist - Richard has worked within agriculture and horticulture for over 35 years as well as with the scientific community in the UK & overseas. He works as an IPM consultant supporting businesses in the East and southeast of England and will be speaking about IPM methods that can help to reduce the need for chemicals.
Dominic Amos, Senior Crop Researcher, Organic Research Centre - Dominic has been with the centre for 6 years where his research has investigated different areas of sustainable crop production including cover and companion cropping, crop rotation diversity, tillage systems and soil health. Dominic will be talking about the current on-farm trials and how they are exploring the potential use of clover as living mulch to improve soil health, reduce inputs and farm more sustainably.
There will be a farm walk followed by lunch.
