About the event
R. H. Bott & Son have farmed at Benington since the 1950s, with Andrew Bott now farming 240ha of arable land and contract farming another 160ha. His father, Harry, was an original member of Hertfordshire FWAG in the 1970s and the family have been FWAG members ever since.
Andrew, an early adopter of sustainable agricultural principles, was recognised by FWAG East in 2024 for his long-standing commitment to wildlife conservation, which he has successfully combined with a regenerative approach to farming, resulting in him winning the FWAG East Farm Conservation Award in 2024.
The trailer tour will take in some of the wildlife habitats Andrew has created and managed on the farm, including his large-scale pond restoration project, and give you the chance to talk to him about his sustainable agriculture journey.
Following drinks and supper, the winner of the 2025 FWAG East Farm Conservation Award winner will be announced.
