About the event
The story of every river starts in the soil. Discover how well-structured soils can boost productivity, reduce weed burdens, prevent erosion, and support the wider work of restoring our rivers and catchments.
At this event, kindly hosted by Nicholas and Henrietta Buxton at Watersplace Farm, we will be joined by Philip Wright, an independent advisor on soils and cultivations. Thames Water will provide an update on local water quality and will highlight how farmers can access support through the Thames Water Catchment Fund.
The afternoon will include a farm visit to a recent restoration project on the River Ash, developed in partnership with the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.
