Waterscapes – Celebrating 600 Ponds and Beyond!

We will visit some recently created pond habitats which are just a few of the 600 or so the FWAG East Pond Team has created and restored across the East since 2020! The team will be discussing the ins-and-outs of wildlife pond creation and restoration, including potential funding sources, as well as dipping for pond invertebrates.

We will also visit the larger scrapes and ditches created elsewhere on farm, providing vital habitat for waders and other wildlife. FWAG advisers Rebecca Inman and Nigel Russell will discuss wetland habitat creation and natural flood management measures.

We will finish our tour of the farm with lunch at 1pm.
