FWAG East invites members and special guests to a very special evening event to celebrate the diversity and beauty of wildflowers in this tour of the Hatley Park Estate in West Cambridgeshire.

About the event
Following a welcome drink we will visit an ambitious new species-rich meadow which has been created on previously arable land.
We will then have the opportunity to tour a very special ancient species-rich wildflower meadow. We will identify numerous familiar (and perhaps less familiar!) species in what is a stunning example of the many old meadows we have sadly lost over the past century.
The owner will discuss how they have enhanced the old meadows by cutting and collecting and demonstrate how they've used green hay from the established species-rich meadow to 'inoculate' the more recently established meadows by using a combi-trailer and then spreading the 'green hay' using a muck-spreader.
Guests will then be treated to a sociable supper with music and drinks in the meadow.
