CAP Reform Event – Essex
FITTING THE CAP – PROTECTING NATURAL RESOURCES AND WILDLIFE
If you missed our Ecological Focus Area clinics earlier this year, this event is for you! Hosted by the Essex Wildlife Trust as part of the Living Landscapes initiative, and supported by FWAG East among others, the event will look at how reform of the Common Agricultural Policy will affect all landowners and particularly those in agri-environment schemes:
- Basic Payment Scheme: Greening and Ecological Focus Areas (Elizabeth Ranelagh, CFE/ FWAG East)
- New Environmental Land Management Schemes (Sam Lee, RSPB)
- The Future of the Environment and Farming (Sam Tonkin, Conservation Grade)
- EFAs and Agri-environment Options in Practice (Rebecca Inman, FWAG East)
Following the talks, discussion and a light lunch, guests will be invited to join the organisers for an early afternoon walk around Essex Wildlife Trust’s headquarters; a working farm over looking the Blackwater Estuary.
The event takes place on Tuesday 25th November, 10am, Abbots Hall Farm, Great Wigborough, Colchester, CO5 7RZ.
